MENOREH VILLAGE CYCLING
Experience the beauty and authenticity of Javanese life with our sustainable cycling tour. Our knowledgeable and friendly university student team will be your "Road Captain" throughout the journey.
Our tour takes place in Nanggulan district of Yogyakarta, where you will discover the local way of life in a genuine village surrounded by rice fields, rivers, and the majestic Menoreh Hills. Cycle through countryside and learn about the hard work that goes into growing rice by joining local farmers. We cycle at a leisurely pace and make frequent stops at local.
As we cycle through 11-17 km of scenic countryside, you'll have the chance to meet friendly neighbors and sample traditional Javanese foods, such as "tempe benguk," fried tofu, and JAMU, a herbal drink crafted from Indonesian spices. Embrace our local expertise by visiting the rice fields of the villagers, where you can learn about the diverse plants and animals that form the rural village ecosystem.
This tour is ideal for foreign travelers who want to immerse themselves in the beauty of the countryside while gaining a deeper appreciation for the sustainability of local practices and the natural environment.
