Ramayana Ballet Show

The performances run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The ballet is conveying the Ramayana epic and held at the open-air theater inside the park, just west of Prambanan temple, one of the UNESCO world culture heritages right across the Opak River, has ballet Javanese dance performances of the great Hindu epic Ramayana takes Prambanan temple as the background, the show is becoming more dramatic. The singers and musicians, beside being accomplished at their craft, were also very accommodating when we are next to them to take pictures together.

The show performance involved 150 artisans; dancers and gamelan musicians, and only performed every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night at 7.30 – 9.30 pm.  A 120 minutes show, with 15 minutes intermission, you are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
